Privacy Policy for TroyCode Call Protection
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
Welcome to TroyCode. We built the TroyCode Call Protection app with a privacy-first design. Your privacy is our top priority: we do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or call information.
1. Zero Data Collection & Zero Server Storage
No Data Collection
TroyCode does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contact list, call history, or device information.
No Server Storage
We do not operate external databases or servers to log your calls, track your activity, or store personal information. All app features operate entirely on your local device.
2. Device Permissions & How They Work Locally
To block scam calls and alert you to potential fraud, TroyCode requires specific device permissions. All permission-based data is processed 100% locally on your device and never leaves your phone:
A. Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE)
Purpose: Detects incoming call events (e.g., when your phone rings or stops ringing).
Usage: Used solely on-device to trigger scam detection logic in real-time when a call arrives.
B. Call Screening Service (ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS / Call Screening Role)
Purpose: Serves as your local call screening guard.
Usage: Evaluates incoming numbers against built-in local risk rules to automatically silence or decline scam callers without ringing your phone.
C. Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Purpose: Delivers immediate security warnings.
Usage: Displays local alerts on your screen when a scam call has been detected or blocked.
3. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking
No Tracking
TroyCode does not include third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or telemetry frameworks designed to profile you.
No Third-Party Sharing
Because we collect no data, we have nothing to sell, rent, or share with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
4. Your Rights & Permission Control
You maintain full control over your device permissions at all times:
- You can grant or revoke Phone State, Call Screening, or Notification permissions via your device settings (Settings → Apps → TroyCode → Permissions).
- Note: Disabling these permissions will prevent the app from detecting or screening scam calls in real-time.
5. Children's Privacy
Because TroyCode does not collect any personal information, it is safe for all users, including children under 13, and strictly complies with global children's privacy standards (such as COPPA and GDPR).
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we make updates to the app in the future that change how permissions or features operate, we will update this policy accordingly with a new "Last Updated" date.
